Rookie Class of ’08 (Potentially)

OK, I know that I’m getting ahead myself. March Madness isn’t over, the Draft Lottery hasn’t been held, and none of this years top prospects have “officially” declared for the NBA Draft. But let’s break down the so called “1 and doners”, the fabulous freshman that most “experts” believe won’t be playing college basketball next year. It can’t be argued that these players have brought a breath of fresh air to the NCAA this year. Without guys like Michael Beasley, Derrick Rose, O.J. Mayo, Kevin Love, Eric GordonJerryd Bayless  and others, college basketball would have been no where near as interesting to watch this year. Thanks Mr. Stern! Without that age requirement you put in, most if not all of these guys would’ve jumped straight to the league out of high school purely off of potential and we never would’ve gotten to see how good (or overrated) they really are.

I’m going to give my take on each player’s strengths and weaknesses, grade them and then make a suggestion on their future: Take the Cash or Back To Class. Walk with me…
