Mo Williams Named To The Eastern All-Star Squad

moMaurice Williams was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star Team, replacing Chris Bosh who will miss the game with a sprained right knee. He certainly deserves to be an All-Star given his play this season. He wasn’t selected by the coaches to be a reserve and when Jameer Nelson went down with his shoulder injury I thought David Stern would surely give Mo the nod but he picked Jesus Shuttlesworth instead.

LeBron James was also upset that his new PG wasn’t selected saying that it was disrespectful to the Cavs that he wasn’t named when the Lakers, Spurs, Hornets, Suns, Celtics and Magic all have multiple players named to All-Star Rosters while Cleveland only had one and they’re one of the top three teams in the league. Well, like they say in football…by an inch or by a mile, it doesn’t matter. Congrats “Peanut”, the first NBA All-Star from Jackson, MS! Stand up Jacktown…you did it!!
